Device Hardening Software Solution (DHSS)
DHSS hardware is provided by the client as per the intended number of users to be served. As the number of users increases, the hardware needs to be upgraded. Configuration of the required DHSS server hardware depends upon the number of users to be served.
DHSS server license is issued to the client enterprise. This server can be controlled only by a single admin. There cannot be multiple admins controlling a single server under a single license.
However, if it is required to have multiple DHSS server admins, one needs to buy multiple DHSS server licenses for each group of users, who can then be managed by their respective admins.
There are two possible options for implementing this:
- The System Integrator can buy a DHSS license and install it on his own infrastructure. SI can then sell smaller lots of licenses to different customers.
In this business model, the SI can provide services to end customers who have requirements of DHSS for less than 100 users. However, the SI will be provided with a single admin on DHSS to manage all the users. The SI will not be able to provide different login to each end customer to manage the policies of their respective users on their own. The customers will have to approach the SI to modify any policy or install new users.
- The SI can buy white-labelled DHSS services. The minimum order quantity for white-labelled DHSS is 1000 In this offering, SI can create a different admin login for each end customer. End customers can use their own login and manage the policies independently.
No. Prime T and DHSS shall have two different consoles for managing the users and their policies. A separate file server or a NAS device should be used as hardware for the DHSS model.
